Maybe she
had been unconsciously postponing opening remaining boxes, strangely enough mostly
crystal and cd boxes. Boxes with precious golden things and mementos from
foreign far away beaches; little glasses with sand, other slightly bigger with tiny
sea shells and rocks. Those she might have still kept from the first time her
mother had been in a far away beach with amazing voluptuous shells in tortuous
designs from a beach near a convent, from the place where, she was told, that
delicious chocolate was made. Those boxes with crystal glasses in all distinct
sizes which had been part of her deceased aunt’s duvet. The aunt she never
knew, the aunt never to be married, the aunt who for her as a child simply
meant that huge crystal glasses collection preciously kept in a glass doors wardrobe
at her grandparents antique house. Days of that week went by with some of those
boxes being opened to salvage the green colored glasses she cherished so much.
And it took her days opening, rearranging
and closing again boxes to realise that keeping such boxes closed for so long
could mean she had not yet reached her place to be. As if it could mean, and
show her every time her glance hit a shelf that she was still on the move, was
still going ahead, had still other things and places to achieve. As if opening
any of those boxes meant acknowledging that possibly nothing which really
mattered would ever really change. And she was bound to be forever more or less
where she started, minus some crystal handles broken along the way.

The rain the land the sea
há dias em que adias tudo
days when one should only
listen to the day itself
being that very day
this very one?
then a day would simply be
all the rains drops resting on grass and leaves
the variety of spider's nets on trees and wees
the blooming of small pink flowers
that of tall redish ones
the rounded yellows
the surface of brown and green lawn tapestry
or even the aroma of orange trees
those days coul have been
the days Gaston loved so much
days for reading he would say
for to listen to anima
would also suspend itself
on letting all be
on letting the reading be
being only here and in all the other places which seized to be
no more.

do teu corpo
na sinuosidade
de teu equilibrio
teu escudo resguardado
tua clara prontidão.

Jose Leonilson - poetry
One part of the town
is the path to your home
and the streets know it
they saw me passing by
the town knows it
and so does the time

a aranha
A metáfora
a constância.
fazer contrário a todas as probabilidades.

It rains by Ana Cristina Cesar
The rain falls.
The roofs are wet,
drops drain through the glazes.
The sky is white,
the time new,
the city washed.
The afternoon noons down,
without the cicada’s chirruping
without bird’s joyous chants,
without the sun, without the heavens.
It rains.
The rains falls wet
in umbrella’s roofs.
It rains.
The rain falls rapidly,
in our eyes and wets.
The winds blow winded,
in the glazes which sway.
in the plants which unfold.
It rains in deserted beaches,
it rains in the sea which becomes grey,
it rains in the black pavement,
In rains in the hearts.
It rains in each soul,
In each haven it rains.
And when you gazed me in myself,
with eyes following me,
and as the rain felt,
